Position Summary
The Finance Officer, reporting to the Finance Manager, is responsible for developing and monitoring project-specific budgets, ensuring timely reporting by partners, and supporting financial management and monitoring processes. This role includes preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and compliance with tax and financial reporting standards. Additionally, the Finance Officer aids in risk management by supporting audits, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, and staying updated on relevant tax laws and financial regulations. This role also contributes to the organization-wide budgeting and financial oversight.
- Develop and monitor budgets for specific projects, in collaboration with project managers.
- Work directly with managers to design and implement project budgets.
- Ensure timely financial reporting by partners involved in specific projects.
- Support budgeting preparation, financial management, and monitoring processes.
- Prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with tax laws, financial reporting standards, and organizational policies.
- Support project and organizational audits, managing relationships with auditors.
